Living faithfully, whatever the timeline
Whatever you concluded about dispensationalism, the rapture, or when it might happen, the real question underneath all of it was never really about a timeline. It was about how you live today — whether you treat tribulation as something to escape or something to walk through faithfully, and whether the friend or family member who reads these chapters differently is someone to argue with or someone to love.
Fear makes a poor foundation for faith. If “readiness” has mostly meant fear of being left behind, try resting instead in the promise underneath all of these pages: Christ is coming toward you, not away from you, and nothing between now and then is wasted.
Questions to reflect on
- Who in your life holds a different view than you do about the rapture or the end times — and what would it look like to talk with them about it without needing to win?
- Where are you already living through something that feels like tribulation? What would it mean to treat that as meaningful, rather than as a delay before “the real thing” starts?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, you are coming towards us, not away from us. Free me from a faith built on fear. Help me walk faithfully through what is hard today, and love those who read these chapters differently from me. Amen.
