The little scroll (Ch.10)

After the dead end of the trumpets — nine plagues, and still no repentance — the church needs new inspiration, and it arrives in the form of a little scroll that John is told to internalize.

That scroll carries the mystery of God: he conquers through weakness, the way Jesus did on the cross. When the church follows that same path, it succeeds, even though success looks nothing like victory in the world’s terms.
