Early Childhood — Jesus Wins, and He Loves Us

This is the youngest track in our Revelation Today teaching series, written especially for
children ages 4 to 7. It sits alongside our elementary track (/kids/elementary), which is
written for older children who are ready for a bit more detail, structure, and discussion.
This track is much simpler on purpose.
Our approach
Little children don’t need — and shouldn’t get — a full map of the book of Revelation. What they need is to feel safe, loved, and excited about Jesus. So each of these 16 short sessions (about 10 minutes each) takes just one picture from Revelation — Jesus standing with his church, a beautiful throne room, a gentle Lamb, a lion who is really a lamb, a new home where nobody ever has to say goodbye — and lets a child sit with that one picture for a while.
There are no timelines to memorize, no numbers to calculate, and no debates about how to interpret symbols. Those things belong to later, older stages of learning. Here, we simply tell the story and let the child feel what it’s meant to make them feel: safe, loved, brave, and excited for what’s coming.
One phrase, all the way through
Every session repeats the same simple line, in different moments — as a call-and-response, a song-like chant, or a closing line before prayer:
“Jesus wins, and he loves us.”
Repetition is a gift to young children, not a shortcut. By the end of the series, they will know in their bones that Jesus wins and Jesus loves them, long before they can explain how or why. That’s exactly right for this age.
What we leave out on purpose
You will not find beasts, dragons, plagues, or anything frightening described in vivid detail here. When Revelation’s imagery includes something scary, we simply say “the bad guy tries something, and it doesn’t work” and move on to the good news. Nothing here is meant to give a small child nightmares. Everything here is meant to help them fall more in love with Jesus.
What’s inside each session
Every lesson includes one simple story, an easy activity (coloring, a simple action, or a short game), our repeated phrase, and a one-line prayer your child can say on their own. Sessions are numbered 1 through 16 and are meant to be used in order, but each one also stands alone if you need to skip around.
