God Counts Every One of Us

Story to read: The Army of God
Bible: Revelation 7

The Picture

John saw something wonderful: a crowd of people so big that nobody could ever count them all — from every country, speaking every language, all kinds of people. And every single one of them belonged to God’s family. Not one was missing. Not one was forgotten.

God knows exactly how many people love him, and he knows every one of them by name — including you! You are counted. You belong. Nobody gets left out of God’s family, and that includes you, right now, today.

Our Refrain

“Jesus wins, and he loves us.”

Ask: “Does God know how many people are in this room?” (Yes!) “Do you belong in God’s family?” (Yes!)

Activity

Count and Cheer: Go around the circle and count each child out loud by name: “One, that’s Emma! Two, that’s Noah!” and so on. After counting everyone, cheer together: “We all belong to God’s family!”

Coloring option: Give each child a simple outline of a big crowd of smiling stick-figure people (or hands/handprints) to color, reminding them nobody is left out.

Simple Prayer

“God, thank you for counting me in your family. Thank you that nobody is left out. Amen.”

Note for the Teacher

There’s no need to explain the number 144,000 or the idea of “twelve tribes” — for this age, simply teach the two pictures together as one idea: a specific, counted number (you matter, you’re known) and an uncountable crowd (everyone is welcome). Both point to the same warm truth: everybody belongs, including this child.
