Story to read: The Two Witnesses
Bible: Revelation 11

The Picture

John saw two special helpers that God sent to tell people the truth about him. It wasn’t always easy for them — some people didn’t want to listen. But the two helpers stayed brave and kept telling the truth anyway, because they trusted God.

And guess what happens to brave helpers who stay close to Jesus? They win. Being brave for Jesus — even when it feels a little scary, like the first day at a new class, or telling the truth when it’s hard — always, always wins in the end, because Jesus is with us.

Our Refrain

“Jesus wins, and he loves us.”

Ask: “What happens when we’re brave for Jesus?” (We win, because Jesus is with us!)

Activity

Brave Helper Practice: Practice a “brave pose” together — standing tall, hands on hips, chin up, big smile. Take turns having each child say one brave thing they could do this week (like sharing a toy, saying sorry, or telling a friend about Jesus) while striking the brave pose. Cheer for each child after they share.

Coloring option: Color a picture of two smiling helpers standing tall together, holding hands, unafraid.

Simple Prayer

“Jesus, help me be brave. Thank you for being with me when I feel scared. Amen.”

Note for the Teacher

Leave out what happens to the two witnesses in the middle of the story (Revelation 11 includes their being harmed) — for this age, go straight from “they were brave and told the truth” to “and in the end, they win, because God brings them back up and honors them.” The lesson is simply: brave-for-Jesus always wins in the end.
