Rev. 15–18: Bad Things Don't Win
Bad Things Don’t Win
Story to read: The Bowls of Wrath
Bible: Revelation 15–16
The Picture
John saw a picture of a great big, proud city that thought it was too big and too strong to ever fall down. It was full of things that hurt God’s people and made them sad. But guess what happened? That big proud city fell down, like a tall tower of blocks tumbling over, and everything that hurt God’s people didn’t get to hurt them anymore.
Here’s the good news: everything that hurts God’s people eventually falls down. It doesn’t get to win. It doesn’t get to stay. Jesus makes sure of it, every time.
Our Refrain
“Jesus wins, and he loves us.”
Ask: “Does anything that hurts God’s people get to stay forever?” (No! It falls down!)
Activity
Tumbling Towers Game: Build a small tower out of blocks and talk about how proud and tall it looks. Then let each child take a turn gently knocking it down while everyone cheers, “Bad things don’t win, Jesus wins!” Rebuild and repeat a few times.
Coloring option: Color a simple picture of toppling blocks or a falling tower, with a bright sun and a smiling cross or crown nearby, showing Jesus is still shining above it all.
Simple Prayer
“Jesus, thank you that bad things don’t get to win. Thank you for taking care of us. Amen.”
Note for the Teacher
Skip any description of the bowls’ contents or Babylon’s specific wrongdoing (Revelation 15–18) — keep entirely to the single simplified idea that a proud, hurtful city falls down and doesn’t get the last word. Land every time on relief and safety: Jesus makes sure bad things don’t win.
