The Story for Little Ones
This is Revelation told for the very youngest listeners, ages 4 to 7. It uses very short, simple sentences and words a small child already knows, with a gentle refrain repeated throughout — “Jesus wins, and he loves us.” — like a chant they can learn by heart. Anything frightening (the dragon, the beasts, the plagues) is softened into “the bad guy tries something scary, and it doesn’t work,” with nothing described in scary detail. It’s meant to be read aloud by a parent or teacher, in one cozy sitting, and it ends on the warm promise of a safe, joyful forever-home with Jesus.
Production notes
- Meant to be read aloud by a parent or teacher in one sitting, about 5 minutes start to finish.
- The refrain “Jesus wins, and he loves us.” is intentional — say it the same sing-song way every time, so children start saying it along with you.
- Frightening content (the dragon, the beasts, the plagues, the harlot’s violence) is deliberately minimized and never described vividly; every scary moment resolves quickly into safety.
- Ends on the New Jerusalem as a warm, safe home where nobody ever has to say goodbye.
